The Next Emperor of the Colosseo..!
I've just come back from my second experience as "facilitator/tutor" in the Finmeccanica Master in Business Engineering, known as FHINK.
I liked very much the diversity of the class: a total of 30 students from USA, Greece, South Africa, Turkey, Germany, Russia, plus some interesting cases of double nationality (cute Italian accent in English Language!).
Coming back to my peripheral and cozy life in Lecce, I used the Condor tool to look at the Mayoral Race in Rome: who will be the next after the Veltroni Era? Alemanno or Rutelli?
Looking at the results, I thought of what the taxi driver in Rome told me last week: "Ah Signò, se vò sapè chi vince, guarda un pò le buche in mezzo la strada..." (Ah, Madame, if you wanna know who will win, look at the holes in the road!)
I don't want to report here the very "interesting and characteristic description" (all personal) that they gave me of Rutelli, Veltroni, Prodi, Berlusconi and Vendola...I leave that to your imagination...and to your knowledge about Romans!

Take Me to the Next Premier
The Par Condicio is behind us..now we can talk!
Here's the results from the analysis we conducted last month.

It seems that the web popularity may be a real mirror of the voters' preferences.
Interesting evidence emerges by looking at the specific blogs and web-sites pointing to the candidates...no surprise that Berlusconi is more connected to sites like acmilan.com.
The major candidates have a profile on Wikipedia, the kingmaker "per eccellenza"! (more details on www.sociometricsgroup.com)
Perhaps, Mr Berlusconi spent some time studying the Granovetter Theory of Weak Ties....while Veltroni was still too busy to update his profile on Facebook! Congratulations to both of them: they seem to have understood very well the power of Web 2.0!
